Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group has announced its new name. The new name reads Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS).. With this name, the company puts additional emphasis on their strategy to provide a total solution to all their customers.
Watson-Marlow is part of Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, a FTSE 100 company. After years of global growth, the company wants to evolve to be even more responsive to the needs of the industries in which they operate.

This is the case in all sectors in which we operate: life sciences (e.g. pharmaceuticals), food and beverage manufacturers and other industrial markets. We further want to leverage the full potential of our brands, products and services. In this way, we want to support the growth of our current and future customers. So the name change stems from the company's strategic vision. The intention is to better align Watson-Marlow's brands and products to provide even better solutions to customers, across a growing range of applications.
Watson-Marlow also continues to innovate in several areas. For example, they are further developing their sector-oriented and consultative sales approach. The company is also committed to further digitizing its business processes by completely restructuring and upgrading its website.
Watson-Marlow will also improve customer support and increase production capacity. A capital injection will lead to the construction of two new factories. A new 11,000 m² plant for the BioPure brand will be built in Portsmouth, Great Britain. A new 14,000 m² plant with eight new cleanrooms will be built in Devens, Massachusetts, USA.
