Schneider Electric, leader in the digital transformation of energy management and industrial automation, has continuously developed its global cyber organization over the past decade. The creation of its own cybersecurity consulting division in Belgium means Schneider Electric can shift up another gear. Stephanie Tonneau, who was appointed Cybersecurity Leader Belgium in 2021, leads the new department.
Schneider Electric has years of experience worldwide and a wealth of in-house knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, both in terms of products as services. "We also find that among our customers, cybersecurity is becoming more of a priority. That's a good thing, but often they don't know exactly where to start. An extra reason for us to invest heavily in it and share our expertise." said Stephanie Tonneau.
Schneider Electric developed a standardized consulting concept, which is run through with each customer. Technical experts and consultants assess the organization and assets, and determine the appropriate strategy from there. In doing so, the guidelines of the IEC 62443 industrial standard procedure are followed.
"When people think of cybersecurity, they often think of IT. Many cybersecurity companies also focus purely on IT. But that's too limited a view, it's about the combination of IT and OT, especially in a production environment. And let that be our strong point., adds Patrick Hesters, Cybersecurity Business Consultant at Schneider Electric.
Schneider Electric has 220 plants spread around the world, where it puts its own strict cybersecurity standards into daily practice. A network of software partners completes the company's expertise.
Stephanie Tonneau, the new Cybersecurity Leader Belgium, has been working in IT environments since 2014.
