400 exhibitors form largest trade fair ever on industrial fluid and gas technologies, measurement and control techniques and production-oriented maintenance at Antwerp expo

On March 23 and 24, 2022, 3 industrial trade fairs will ensure a completely sold-out Antwerp expo: Pumps & Valves, Maintenance and M+R will fill all 5 halls of Antwerp expo with a record number of 400 exhibitors. Good for 18,500 m² of solutions for industrial pumps, valves, seals, process instrumentation, automation, maintenance and asset management.

3 industrial trade shows together for the first time

The duo fair Maintenance and Pumps & Valves has been successfully organized in Antwerp expo since 2012 in the pare years. In the off years, the trade fairs Worksafe, M+R (measurement and control technology for the process industry) and also Maintenance were organized as a 3-part combi in Antwerp expo. Due to the Covid-19 force majeure, the March 2020 edition of Maintenance and Pumps & Valves could not take place. Because also in the spring of 2021 still no trade fair or live event was allowed to take place due to government measures, the agenda puzzle became more and more complex.

Since the M+R trade show, measurement and control technology for the process industry, is highly complementary in terms of theme to the technologies to be found at Pumps & Valves and Maintenance, we made the decisions in February 2021 to organize these 3 strong trade shows together in March 2022 for the first time in their long existence.

The main goal of this strategy was to give our exhibitors, partners and visitors from the various industries a great momentum in a timing they are used to (month of March). Of course, this momentum also had to fall in a period when trade shows could be organized again.

Back enjoying the power of face-to-face conversations without limitations!

Over the past 2 years, we have all been able to discover both the simplicity and the limitations of digital communication tools. Zoom, Teams or Webex meetings have helped us tremendously to keep communicating with each other, but for initial introductions, sales calls, more complex technical meetings, knowledge transfers or informal chats, face-to-face conversations remain irreplaceable.
At Pumps & Valves, Maintenance and M+R on March 23 & 24, 2022, it will be the first time since the start of the pandemic two years ago, that our visitors and exhibitors will be able to meet again on the show floor without restrictive measures. A wonderful moment that everyone is greatly looking forward to.

New topics such as Hydrogen, Steam Technologies and 15 other master classes back live.

There is a rich fringe program with more than 15 master classes that can be attended back live during Pumps & Valves, Maintenance and M+R 2022.

Hydrogen. Together with the organization Waterstofnet.eu, we are organizing a master class on Wednesday, March 23 on the state of affairs of Waterstofnetwerk in Flanders and the Netherlands. In addition to a view of the future plans, this master class will also address the technical aspects that hydrogen installations need to meet. After all, at our 3 trade fairs there are 400 suppliers with the best technologies in terms of pumps, valves, seals, measuring techniques, piping... and maintenance. So it is also very interesting for our exhibitors to attend this session.

Steam technologies. Much of the energy consumption of industry in Belgium is related to heat generation in the production process. Together with the organization Energik vzw, the Flemish association for energy and environmental technology, we are organizing the Steam Technology Day 2022 on Thursday, March 24, where the latest updates on settings, maintenance and performance of steam plants will be given.
Process Analyser Technology. Together with ie-net, there is also a specialized master class on Process Analyser Technology in the 4.0 era. Master classes are also organized with the associations BEMAS, EHEDG, VMX ....

Innovations to discover from the many exhibitors

Thanks to the various innovations, visitors can once again take a guided tour of the exhibitors' innovations. Out of all the innovations received, 4 innovation awards will also be presented: the BEMAS Maintenance Digital Innovation Award and the BEMAS Maintenance Innovation Award, the M+R Innovation award and finally the Valves Innovation Award. The presentation of these awards will take place on Wednesday, March 23 at 18:00 at the networking bar in Hall 3.

Practical info

Pumps & Valves, Maintenance and M+R will be open on Wednesday, March 23 from 10 am to 7 pm and Thursday, March 24 from 10 am to 6 pm. All 5 halls of Antwerp expo are fully filled with 400 exhibitors, presenting the largest offer ever. Apart from monitoring the air quality of the halls, there will be no more restrictive measures for our exhibitors and visitors.
