Frozen fruit and vegetable producer Greenyard is replacing more than 500 company vehicles with all-electric models. In doing so, they are taking an important step in reducing their carbon footprint, a key part of Greenyard's sustainability plan. Among other ambitious sustainability goals, Greenyard aims to reduce its carbon footprint by 50% by 2025* and be carbon neutral by 2050 at the latest.

Greenyard is a global market leader in fresh, frozen and prepared fruits and vegetables. The company is clearly at the heart of the transition to more sustainable food value chains and healthy, plant-based diets. By already switching to an all-electric company vehicle fleet, Greenyard is taking responsibility by further reducing its own carbon footprint. Over 500 vehicles are being switched to all-electric models.
"We are taking the lead in this positive evolution, and we are doing it together with our employees. To ensure a smooth transition from the current fleet to an all-electric fleet, we are investing in the necessary infrastructure. In order to offer a wide range of vehicles, we are working with an extensive network of car suppliers. For example, we will install car charging points at our locations, which will give us more than 300 charging points in the coming years," said Hein Deprez, co-CEO of Greenyard. Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Germany will be the first countries where Greenyard 100% will drive electric.
