Last year, Hellebrekers and De Weus visited the Grolsch brewery in Enschede. Grolsch wanted to modify the handling of the current beer barrels (casks) so that pallets of Peroni casks could also be handled at the brewery. Together with De Weus, Hellebrekers searched for the best solution, with success; now the kegs with the Italian beer are rolling off the production line.
Many operations were done by hand because of the different sizes of Peroni casks and the use of locator boards between cask layers, which the original cask line could not handle. Therefore, Hellebrekers made adjustments to:
🍻 the roller conveyors
🍻 the (de-)stackers
🍻 the (de-)palletizers
🍻 the robot grippers
🍻 the stock warehouse for locator boards.
In addition to supplying and installing new field cabinets and the main control cabinet (MCC), Hellebrekers equipped them with a new modern PLC control. The whole system was programmed and commissioned by Hellebrekers.
Hellebrekers is proud of its successful partnership with Grolsch and De Weus.
