New office with Training & Experience Centre SSI SCHAEFER Netherlands "Grandly" opened

On 24 June, SSI SCHAEFER officially opened its new Dutch headquarters with an in-house customer Training & Experience Centre in Oosterhout, the Netherlands. The new office houses various departments for the Belgian and Dutch employees of SSI SCHAEFER. Despite being two separate countries with their own headquarters, SSI SCHAEFER BENE sees itself as one organisation. The two offices are always open to both Belgian and Dutch employees for optimum cooperation and efficiency.

SSI SCHAEFER has been active on the Dutch and Belgian markets for more than 30 years. The next strategic step for the development of SSI SCHAEFER Netherlands is the opening of new modern company premises that meet the needs of employees and customers. 

The official part of the grand opening began with the welcome speech by Peter Pompen, Managing Director of Benelux. Peter welcomed the guests and discussed the objectives and prospects of the new premises. "We are delighted to welcome you all to the new Dutch headquarters. SSI SCHÄFER has had a long and rewarding journey, from a small local branch opened in 1987 with just a handful of people, to a second 'home' for more than seventy professionals. Thank you so much for taking the time to celebrate with us."

Steffen Bersch, CEO of the SSI SCHÄFER Group, was present along with C-level executives from the global organization and regional offices to attend the celebration and congratulate their colleagues on this new milestone. Steffen Bersch said: "Creative teamwork is necessary to develop modern Intralogistics 4.0 solutions for our customers. With the new office and the Training & Experience center, the preconditions have been created here in Oosterhout for 'agile working' in a modern corporate culture."  

Following the opening ceremony, all those present were given a tour of the modern, progressive Dutch headquarters with the new customer Training & Experience Center. During the festive gathering they were introduced to a large part of the manual and semi-automatic product range and the special history facts of SSI SCHAEFER. The aim of the local "Experience Center" is to give small and medium-sized companies the opportunity to see, feel and even try out SSI SCHAEFER products. Smart solutions for conventional and (semi-) automatic storage are on display at the Experience Center. From R 3000 shelving and flow racks for boxes and containers to a PR 600 rack for pallet storage and a cantilever rack for long, bulky goods. And from an SSI LOGIMAT® Vertical Lift Module to SSi SCHÄFER's Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV), the Weasel®.

SSI SCHAEFER BENE thanks all partners and associates who were able to attend the opening.
