More and more, employers are convinced that a thorough and well-founded prevention policy benefit their business.
As a good manager, every employer realizes that a solid prevention policy must be coordinated by an appointee who knows what a risk is and has the knowledge to integrate measures against those risks into welfare policy.
The legislation also provides for the duty to have a prevention consultant appoint.
As a prevention consultant, you support the security policy of your company. You act as counselor, coordinator regarding the welfare policy. You are the advisor for the employer as well as for the employees. You are a worthy interlocutor for the employer, management, employees and their representatives, insurance companies, government agencies and all supporting external services.

This training consists of a multidisciplinary basic module and a multidisciplinary specialization module level 2. The multidisciplinary basic module is the same for prevention consultant level 2 and prevention consultant level 1. The specialization module is different. The basic training level 3 does not count as a multidisciplinary basic module.
You are only a level 2 prevention consultant if you have completed both the basic multidisciplinary module and the level 2 multidisciplinary specialization module.
The basic module taken with us also gives access to Level 1 specializations designed elsewhere.
Admission requirements
In accordance with the legal provisions (RD of May 17, 2007 and amended by RD of January 29, 2013), there are 2 possibilities:
Thus, if you do not have a certificate of higher secondary education, you must first successfully complete the level 3 prevention advisor training and then be able to prove 5 years of experience. The period of 5 years of experience starts only after the level 3 prevention advisor training has been successfully completed.
SBM training approach
Training is overseen by a working group and a steering committee. Each training series is closely monitored by the working group. They ensure that all concerns, doubts and questions are closely followed up. Your fellow trainees will already form your first network within the world of prevention advisors.
Duration
The total training is formed by the multidisciplinary basic module (120h = 40 lessons) followed by the multidisciplinary specialization module. (90h = 30 lessons). The class dates are spread over several weeks with normally no classes continuing during school vacations. The training takes about 1 year.
You cannot participate in the multidisciplinary specialization module until you have passed the basic multidisciplinary module. (More info around evaluations can be found below).
Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive the Level 2 Prevention Advisor diploma.
