A real piece of the ice age, bottled

The sensor expert Leuze, committed to the highest standards

"Untouched since the Ice Age" is not a marketing slogan, but a fact - a real piece of Ice Age that still exists today: When the ice melted, immense amounts of water drained into the rocks of the Swabian Alpine Mountains. Unusual landslides then sealed off this reservoir about 400 meters below the outside world. Since then, heavy layers of impermeable rock prevent rainwater from seeping into the reservoir and protect it from all the environmental influences of our time. As a result, EiszeitQuell possesses an original purity and quality-just like water from 10,000 years ago. It contains a balance of minerals and is low in sodium and salt. This unique water quality is what drives us and is why Romina Mineralbrunnen is committed to accepting only the highest standards throughout the filling process

View of palletizing technology in the new glass system

At peak times at Romina Mineralbrunnen, up to 45,000 glass bottles per hour are transported through the system, depalletized, unpacked, cleaned, filled, repackaged and finally loaded onto a new pallet, secured and transported to storage. High system availability is imperative. Today, transport and packaging systems simply do not work without reliable sensor systems. Romina has relied for many years on optical sensor systems and a special, experienced partner: Sensor Expert Leuze from Owen/Teck, southern Germany - just a few kilometers away from Romina Mineralbrunnen. The "Sensor People" have many years of experience and in-depth application knowledge related to the packaging and beverage industry. For almost all applications in the beverage industry, the sensor expert has a precise solution ready: For example, for the transport of pallets, tray packaging and containers. Leuze also always has the appropriate sensors for applications in individual machines.

For safe loading and unloading, Leuze multi-beam walk-in safety guards with integrated muting (temporary bridging) function are often used. However, safety light curtains with Leuze's patented Smart Process Gating (SPG) technology are also suitable. Using the safety light curtain version with SPG eliminates the need for muting sensors. This saves a lot of space and is an important advantage when set up in tight spaces. Because a fully automatic material flow is only possible with reliable sensor systems. And these must be accurate, but also safe.
