Divisible glands: for waterproof sealing of cables

ICOTEK's divisible cable glands allow cables, with or without connectors, or complete wire harnesses from 1 to 35 mm in diameter, to be quickly and easily fed through and sealed in enclosures, cabinets or machinery. These glands offer a waterproof seal with protection degrees up to IP66, IP68 and UL Type 4X. Depending on the required degree of protection, choose the right gland for your application. KVT: the most popular divisible glands

The KVT series forms the core of ICOTEK's divisible glands. These glands are widely applicable and distinguish themselves in three important ways:

  • Maximum cable diameter
  • Degree of protection (IP value)
  • Strain relief according to DIN standard

The KVT series offers higher IP ratings (IP66 and IP68), ideal for cable diameters from 1 to 35 mm. In addition, the KVT series offers strain relief according to the DIN EN 62444 standard, which is comparable to standard glands.

Easy installation thanks to split system

Thanks to the split system of the dividable glands, the cables can be installed quickly and easily, even afterwards. The cable is inserted into the grommet in one of the gland halves, then the two halves are simply snapped together without tools. Depending on the size of the gland, one, two or four individual grommets can be installed in one gland.

Waterproof sealing without tools

The divisible grommets can be easily mounted by clicking them into a standard metric recess (sizes M20 to M80) or screwed down with a supplied locknut. The grommets provide a reliable seal to the appropriate IP rating without the need for special tools.

KVT cable glands: the options at a glance

  • KVT-ER (IP66/68): offers certified protection classes IP65/IP66/IP67/IP68 according to EN 60529. With very high strain relief according to DIN EN 62444, corrosion-resistant V2A stainless steel screws and a robust, vibration-resistant design.
  • KVT (IP54): suitable for feeding prefabricated cables through, while maintaining the manufacturer's warranty. Quick repairs and maintenance are possible thanks to high cable density and easy installation.
  • KVT 80 (IP54): similar to the standard KVT series, but with a larger diameter and strain relief according to DIN EN 62444.
  • KVT-SNAP (IP54): offers quick and easy installation without tools, ideal for thicker walls (> 5 mm).
  • KVT-W90 (IP54): designed for installation at a 90-degree angle to the cabinet, ideal for tight installation spaces.
  • EMC-CFT (IP54): especially for applications where electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is required. The glands provide very good shielding and reliable protection against field and conductive interference.
