Dertec has a very complete delivery program of stainless steel geared motors and fully customized stainless steel gearboxes. To provide an insight into the diversity in our delivery program, in this article we show you the largest and smallest versions of our gearboxes in one photo.

The giant and the dwarf

The smallest gearbox in our program delivers 20 Nm of torque and has a hollow shaft diameter of 14 mm. The largest delivers 2700 Nm of torque with a hollow shaft diameter of 60 mm. Thus, the shaft diameter of the largest gearbox is more than 4x larger and delivers 135x more torque.

The large gearbox shown is our FKA88. In the picture, the bevel gearbox is combined with a FRC01 pre-stage and an FP2SS Asynchronous stainless steel motor with which it forms a complete reduction motor. This version was delivered to a client in the United States where our UL/CSA certification (UL E506337) ensures that the systems meet all the requirements of this country.

Gear boxes and motors made of stainless steel

Dertec stainless steel geared motors offer many advantages. Their round and smooth design prevents dirt build-up and makes them very easy to clean using the "Clean in place" process and other cleaning techniques. Special shaft seals and the duplex stainless steel hardened shaft ensure a longer service life, which can be up to 4x longer than conventional drives. In addition to our standard hygienic stainless steel drives, we supply another special series Signature line motors and gearboxes which, with their customized seals and design, deliver even better hygienic performance for demanding food industry applications.
