When it comes to quality control, assembly verification and, for example, robot inspections at high speeds, the Ruler 3D streaming cameras have stood alone for years. With the new Ruler3000/3020, SICK is raising the bar again. Thanks to its unique CMOS sensor, even higher measurement speeds are possible, putting higher output within reach.
Factory calibration significantly reduces integration time. Thanks to the guaranteed Field of View concept, the Ruler3000/3020 easily put themselves into operation.
The high-speed streaming camera Ruler3000/3020 is equipped with the CMOS sensor specially developed by SICK for 3D triangulation with ROCC technology. This guarantees unparalleled 3D images. Even on dark and high-gloss surfaces, the camera performs reliably and accurately with the built-in Class 2 laser.
The Ruler3000/3020 comes into its own during quality checks within the food industry (both inline checks and packaging checks).
Before packaging baked goods and confectionery products, it is necessary to ensure that product quality meets the high requirements of producers and consumers. Defective products must be detected at an early stage and removed from the production and packaging process. The 3D vision sensor Ruler3000 enables precise 3D measurement of a wide variety of baking and confectionery products. Even at high process speeds, it accurately and reliably checks their product properties such as shape and sizes. The sensor thus ensures that only baked goods and sweets of impeccable quality enter the packaging process, even if there is no color contrast. An optional stainless steel housing even withstands aggressive cleaning.
