Technical innovation for mixing and stirring processes

Combined with the NORDAC FLEX SK 200E frequency inverter for the power range up to 22 kW, this makes available a flexible unit with low maintenance.

MAXXDRIVE® industrial gear units, which have been part of the NORD program for ten years, deliver high output torques from 15 to 282 kNm and guarantee high operating reliability even under demanding conditions. The FEM optimized and compact design allows operation under extreme external loads. For stirring applications, a combination with the SAFOMI IEC adapter (SAFOMI = Sealless Adapter For Mixers), in which an oil expansion chamber is integrated, is recommended.

SAFOMI is available for MAXXDRIVE® parallel shaft helical gear units in sizes 7 to 11 and includes maximum output torques of 25 to 75 kNm. SAFOMI impresses with its compact and simple design and the integrated oil expansion chamber, which eliminates the need for oil tanks and pipes and the shaft seal between gear unit and IEC cylinder that is sensitive to leakage and wear. Application of the SAFOMI-IEC adapter instead of the standard IEC adapter on the agitator drive increases operational reliability and reduces maintenance costs. Not only is the oil level and thus the required oil volume lower, but because fewer components are needed, less installation space is also required.

Higher operating reliability with less effort dear further reducing wear parts and connected components, NORD recommends a combination of the MAXXDRIVE® industrial gearbox, the SAFOMI-IEC adapter, a drive motor and NORDAC FLEX SK 200E. The frequency inverter can be installed flexibly and has a high power range and a wide selection of optional functions and accessories. The SK 200E can be mounted directly on the motor without a control cabinet.
