For all CNC milling and turning work, as well as additional machining, of complex parts in steel, aluminum, stainless steel and plastic, they can already turn to Fraiponts in Zonhoven. Thanks to an enthusiastic team of experienced employees and up-to-date machinery, this family business can quickly and flexibly respond to all requests. The company focuses on the most diverse sectors, including the food industry, where requirements are often very high.

"We don't shy away from any challenge and always play short-handed to provide an appropriate solution for every customer request. This is how we want to distinguish ourselves from other suppliers." Speaking is Davy Fraiponts, manager in the third generation of the Limburg family business, specializing in machining operations of complex workpieces in metal and plastics. "I am proud that today I can continue to build on the life's work of my grandfather and father. Hard work, flexibility, enthusiasm and well-considered investments are the basis of our success. Customers have been coming to us for more than 25 years for CNC milling and CNC turning, as well as other machining operations of components in steel, aluminum, stainless steel and plastic. Our clients come from the most diverse sectors, such as mechanical engineering, automotive, aerospace, electronics, precision engineering, medical and pharmaceutical ... However, we have also built up a good reputation in the food industry, where a great deal of work is done with stainless steel and customers are often even more demanding in terms of quality."

At Fraiponts, they strive to completely unburden their clients. They are an extension of the customer's engineers and drawing department, so to speak, and finish each component with precision down to the smallest detail. They are even responsible for assembly. "Quality and precision are very important factors for our customers. But especially the fact that we can respond quickly to every request and, if necessary, adjust smoothly during the production process is an added bonus," says the manager, who himself first learned the craft on the shop floor. "We can count on an enthusiastic team of young but very experienced employees, who are always up to date with the latest techniques and technologies on the market. In addition, we also continuously invest in our machinery, which today consists of high-quality milling centers, lathes and other machine tools from Unisign, Matsuura, Leadwell, Victor and Hermle, among others."

Thus, about five years ago, the company installed a five-axis machining center type C32 U from Hermle with robot, which also allows small series production. To further optimize flexibility and productivity on the shop floor, Fraiponts also invested in a five-axis C400 machining center from Hermle and an F600 deburring and finishing machine from Q-Fin.

Fraiponts and his team are already looking to the future with hope. "Covid-19 has changed lives fiercely, but through our commitment and flexibility, new opportunities arise every time," Fraiponts concludes. "For example, we supplied components for Limburg machines, which are used to produce rubber seals for syringes, which are used today for putting vaccines against the pandemic."
