The packaging industry is facing increasingly stringent product quality, traceability and regulatory requirements. At the same time, the amount of digital information linked to products is growing. During Empack in the Evenementenhal in Gorinchem from 14 to 16 April, De Koningh will present solutions for coding, labeling and inspection on stand G22 that help companies get a better grip on their packaging process and product data.
By better integrating processes around coding, validation and inspection into the production line, errors are spotted earlier and the reliability of packaging is increased. De Koningh focuses on three important parts of the packaging process: coding, validation and inspection, which will also be the focus during the exhibition.
Coding on packaging plays an increasing role in product quality and traceability. Two-dimensional codes such as DataMatrix and QR codes make it possible to store more information and link it to digital systems. This makes it possible to connect physical products with online information, for example, through applications such as GS1 Digital Link and the future Digital Product Passport.
For producers, this means that codes must not only be legible, but also correctly placed and consistently applied. Combining coding technology with verification and control in the production line increases the reliability of these codes.

In packaging processes, errors such as wrong code or wrong packaging occur frequently. This often leads to quality problems, rejects or even product recalls. Validation solutions such as Valid-Pack and Valid-Code make it possible to automatically check that the correct code is on the correct packaging.
By integrating these checks directly into the packaging process, discrepancies are detected more quickly. This helps reduce human error and increases assurance that products are correctly coded and packaged.
In addition to coding and validation, product inspection plays an important role in ensuring quality. Inspection systems can be integrated into the production line to automatically check packaging, labels and coding. De Koningh will show during Empack how these inspections contribute to better control of the packaging process.
Automating inspection provides continuous insight into the quality of products and packaging. Deviations are immediately flagged, allowing the number of manual checks to be reduced and the packaging process to be more stable.
With these solutions, De Koningh is responding to the increasing need for reliable coding, error reduction and quality control within the packaging industry.
