ABISS Breda has been rescheduled for December 3, 2026, and is launching its first experts

ABISS Breda, the networking summit and technology fair for digital transformation in the manufacturing industry, will take place on December 3, 2026, at Breepark Breda. With this strategic change in date, the organizers have deliberately chosen a time when the industry can benefit most from the knowledge program and networking opportunities. At the same time, the ABISS Breda organization is announcing the first names in the expert program that will be central to the summit.

A strategic choice for maximum impact

The decision to reschedule ABISS Breda to December 3, 2026, was made following consultation with exhibitors, knowledge partners, and other industry stakeholders. Around the original date in late October, several events related to cybersecurity, digitalization, and industrial innovation were scheduled, forcing professionals in the sector to make difficult choices.

By setting this new date, the organizers have deliberately chosen a time when visitors and technology partners can fully participate in the event. Furthermore, the longer timeframe compared to the Belgian edition of ABISS on October 8 provides companies with additional time to activate their networks, follow up on contacts, and optimally prepare for their participation.

First experts announced for the ABISS Breda Summit

ABISS Breda is known for its compact yet substantive summit program centered on three themes: Intelligence, Industry, and Security of Things. Together, these themes serve as a guide for technology professionals seeking to make their production environments smarter, more efficient, and safer. In 2026 as well, seven experts will share their insights on the technological challenges and opportunities within the manufacturing industry.

The first confirmed speakers are:

  • Opening Keynote: Jeroen Broekhuijsen (CTO Smart Industry, TNO) supports the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry on a daily basis by translating data, processes, and technology into tangible business value.
  • Edwin Coppens (Strategic Portfolio Manager, Seco Tools), Expert session focusing on automation and machining technologies for the factory of the future. He demonstrates how smart automation leads to greater efficiency, reliability, and sustainable growth.

Jeroen Broekhuijsen (TNO) is opening the expert classes for the second year in a row, and that’s no coincidence. In this session, he will present the central theme of ABISS 2026 to the Dutch industry regarding Smart IIoT-driven industry.

Today, the IIoT is no longer purely a technological issue, but rather a daily process of coordination between IT and OT. As digitalization becomes increasingly AI-driven and agentic systems move closer to machines, robots, and operators, continuous collaboration and coordination are becoming an absolute necessity for a smart, safe, and connected industry.

This opening keynote provides a clear and practical overview of how to build that bridge between OT and IT in practice. For every OT and IT manager, regardless of digital maturity, this session offers relevant insights into the next steps.

If you want to understand how to align teams and accelerate innovation through better collaboration, you won’t want to miss this Expert Class.

A strong ecosystem of technology partners and knowledge organizations

In addition to the expert program, ABISS Breda is once again bringing together a selection of 45 technology providers, software developers, integrators, and knowledge partners. Visitors will get a concise overview of concrete solutions in areas such as digitization, automation, artificial intelligence, industrial data analysis, cybersecurity, and smart manufacturing.

The organization can once again count on the support of various industry associations, knowledge centers, and innovation partners, including Breda Robotics, TNO, and HSD.

More speakers, partners, and content-focused sessions will be announced in the coming months.
