Today we are taking another step with the introduction of our brand new colloid mill for the wet size-reduction of suspended solids, pulverizing and mashing coarse solids.
The colloid mill (CM) is a hygienic colloid mill with toothed rotor and stator in electro-polished duplex stainless steel.
It is used to grind solid particles in suspension accurately and with reproducible results in an annular gap between the stator and rotor. The gap can be adjusted by changing the axial position of the rotor. This allows optimal adjustment for each product. The rotor and stator contain 2 grinding zones and thanks to the high shear forces between rotor and stator, the CM will also mix the liquid.
The rotor with integrated centrifugal impeller improves suction capacity and creates additional head. The helical grooves in the rotor guarantee quiet operation. All parts of the CM in contact with the product to be ground are in electro-polished 316L or duplex and both motor and seals are standardized, or what did you think?
The Packo CM colloid mill is used for a wide range of production line purposes in the general food, fruit & vegetable and cosmetic industries. The main applications are wet size reduction of suspended solids, pulverizing and mashing coarse solids and generating high viscosity suspensions and emulsions.
