B&R has added two very compact variants to its integrated motor and drive solution. Equipped with powerful processors, these new variants are perfect for applications requiring precise synchronization and positioning precision. With these new variants, the ACOPOS motor is now available in a power range of 283 W to 2.3 kW.
A powerful processor in the ACOPOS motor ensures cycle times of 50 µs for current, speed and position control. Therefore, ACOPOSmotor is the best choice for highly dynamic processes where fast movements must be synchronized with impeccable precision. This opens up new application possibilities for these motors in sectors such as the printing and packaging industry.
The new ACOPOS motors feature motors with a very high torque density. This allows the use of a significantly smaller flange while simultaneously increasing power density by 12%. The smallest ACOPOS motor has a flange of 60 mm at an overall length of only 125 mm. This makes it possible to build more compact machines that take up less floor space. The ACOPOS motor operates within a voltage range of 24 to 58 VDC and there is a wide choice of transmissions.
ACOPOS motors are equipped with two connectors for hybrid cables that rotate over 300 degrees. Only one cable needs to be routed to the control cabinet. This hybrid cable provides power and POWERLINK communication to the ACOPOS motor.
Additional ACOPOS motors can be easily added via daisy-chain cabling. This saves up to 90% of cabling and significantly simplifies testing and installation. The ACOPOS motor is equipped with the STO safety function as standard. This is controlled via the hybrid cable, so no additional cabling is required for this.
The compact ACOPOSmotor variants can be connected directly to the power supply of the ACOPOStrak or ACOPOS 6D. This greatly simplifies cabling for processing stations. As a result, the ACOPOSmotor does not require an additional power supply.
