Improve to excel in hygiene

'Hygiene for Food' is one of the most important event around cleaning, hygiene monitoring and hygienic design for the food industry in Flanders. Attend on November 30.

A HYGIENIC FACTORY ALSO HAS A HUMAN SIDE

Retrieved from November 30, 2021 Agoria, Flanders' FOOD and EHEDG Belgium are organizing their 7th edition of 'Hygiene for Food'. With a cross-sectoral program we focus on latest developments in the field of food safety and hygiene in the food industry. With its Green deal and Farm to Fork strategy, Europe is treading a clear path to ensure its future as a continent. Chargebooks are making more and more demands. This sets the "hygiene bar" for a food company very high. Cleaning and production processes must become more sustainable and efficient, and product quality must be better guaranteed, ... to remain competitive.

In addition to an appropriate food safety management system, good practices in cleaning and maintenance, targeted hygiene monitoring, and effective management of contamination problems are required. Continuous improvement of production lines, the environment, and processes should further pave the way to achieve a permanently hygienic plant in which operational excellence and a sustainable agri-food system become reality.

This edition also focuses on the work culture of a food company. Different authorities expect food companies to have a food safety culture within the company from management to worker. Because this theme has to be tackled at different levels of an organization, this edition we also organize specially and for the first time a C-level lunch session for companies of Agoria, Flanders' FOOD and EHEDG. Your executive can debate with other executives about food safety culture. They can register for this via the Flanders' FOOD or Agoria website.

CHANGE WITH AN EYE TO THE FUTURE

A lot of food companies are in the midst of change. Driven by economies of scale, new innovative production processes, new regulations, expansion of the product range, efficiency improvements ... a lot is being invested in new machines, process lines, production areas and new factories. Fortunately, many of these food companies are seizing the opportunity to take hygiene to the next level when realizing their plans. In doing so, knowledge about new regulations, research results and innovations is indispensable. But how do you put that knowledge into practice?

The seminar portion, centered on the theme "IMPROVING" connects theory and practice into a beautiful whole and is composed of about 8 sessions.

We will conclude with a dry and wet snack offered by EHEDG Belgium.

A PROFESSIONAL SOUNDING BOARD

With "Hygiene for Food," we aim to bring together professionals from industry, academia and government around the theme of "Hygiene For Food," and by doing so promote consultation between food companies and suppliers (machine builders, service providers, R&D and knowledge providers, etc.) in order to achieve "World Class Hygiene in Food Production.

Our Inspiration Village also aims to contribute to this. Here, participants will have the opportunity to get to know providers of new trends & products in the field of cleaning and hygiene. During the guided tour, some 18 practical examples will be presented.
