The Food Tech Event on May 14 and 15 in the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch is the one-stop-shop trade fair for food production and processing. Here visitors will find everything for their processing and production environment in the food and beverage sector bundled under one roof.

Of course, you can choose to drive everywhere and visit everyone in person, whether you know them or not. Or you can sit at your computer and do some browsing around websites to gather information. But there is a moment in May when everything and everyone comes together in one physical place. Maybe "shopping" is not the right word, but the feeling is similar: on this exhibition floor you "surf" live past a wide variety of companies, organizations and educational and knowledge institutions focused on solutions for the food and beverage. From food safety and hygiene solutions to packaging machines and materials and from floors and walls to conveyor belts and vision technology. You will find answers on how to optimize, set up and implement your entire factory environment and processing. The fair is also a unique time to strengthen existing relationships and make new connections. Chances are that your visit will be rewarded with unexpected meetings and surprising knowledge.

Questions and challenges enough

Gaining and updating relevant knowledge is essential in these turbulent times. Challenges for the industry abound. The geopolitical unrest and wars make it difficult to look far ahead, while the urgency to achieve a more sustainable food system due to climate change, energy transition, protein transition, increasing staff shortages, and so on, do necessitate such a long-term vision. Meanwhile, food producers and processors in the Netherlands are working tirelessly to improve our food, but modern consumers are critical and the government is strict. ❯

"I am glad that finally there is another initiative where we can show our innovations and machines to our customers", he adds with a smile.

Knowledge Program

In addition to visiting the exhibitors, there is much more to do and experience during the two-day fair. The program includes an extensive and interesting conference program with some 40 speakers, including keynotes by Marianne van Keep, Director of Sustainability and Procurement at Verstegen Spices & Sauces and Tijs Roeland, Manager of Technology & Projects at CONO Kaasmakers. There will be substantive panel discussions with industry experts. One, organized by, among others, Vakblad Voedingsindustrie with Next Tech Food Factories, has as its theme energy savings and opportunities of technological innovation in the food processing sector. There will be several live demos and, of course, there will again be an enjoyable networking reception, offered by Network organization OSV (Entrepreneurs Society Food Industry).
