Formatting food labels with allergens: child's play thanks to NiceLabel 10 software!

European Union food labeling legislation (European Regulation No. 1169/2011) defines not only what information to display on a label, but also how to present that specific information. The regulation goes into detail about font size, but leaves the exact way to indicate allergens up to the user. The allergens should all clearly distinguishable be different from the rest of the ingredients, for example, by printing their names in bold, capital letters or a different color so that they stand out.

Easily mark allergens with NiceLabel software

The NiceLabel software by default supports the formatting of allergens using custom functions. These are predefined functions that allow you to mark the allergens in the ingredient list. To mark them you can use bold, italic, underlined, capital letters or a combination of them. The result of the function is RTF-formatted data that you can use with the Rich Text Box object.
