Custom stainless steel control valves for the food industry

In the food industry, devices and components are often exposed to steam and water, sometimes also to fats and acids. Therefore, it is important to use high-quality products. Stainless steel is the standard in that world, also for the production of control valves, which have to regulate the flow within installations. Fluxer specializes in custom distribution of such control valves to industrial customers. This involves a conscious decision to work with mainly European A-brands. With each project, they first analyze the customer's needs in order to then deliver a suitable product in the short term.

For every project, Fluxer offers an appropriate control valve. This often involves customized solutions.

Fluxer was created in April 2014 as a spin-off from Dema. This family business from Roeselare specializes in the distribution of valves, valves, fittings, actuators and measurement and control technology for piping and construction companies, machine builders, slaughterhouses, waste processing companies and the food industry. "Personal contact, professional advice, quality products and short delivery times are our most important assets. After all, we always want to guarantee our customers the best service. We have therefore deliberately chosen to cooperate with A-brands from Europe and can count on an experienced team of employees with broad technical knowledge. Moreover, we have an extensive stock, an assembly department with professional metalworking centers, welding and testing equipment and our own transport. Furthermore, we continue to invest continuously in the optimization of our product range in order to be able to present a wider range to our customers or to offer an appropriate solution for other market segments and applications," explains sales manager Frédéric Billiouw. "Each project starts with a meeting at the customer's premises, where we analyze the production process together. This allows us to form an accurate picture of the needs and requirements of the application to finally select and deliver a suitable end product at short notice. In many cases, this involves a customized solution."

Focus on the food industry

Fluxer supplies control valves and other products for a wide variety of often demanding applications, including in the food industry. There, they are exposed to steam and water, as well as fats, acids and powerful maintenance products, which can corrode the material of the control valves and affect their operation. It comes down to choosing the right control valve for each application. "Our valves are constructed entirely of stainless steel 316, also known as AISI 316, which has superior corrosion resistance compared to other Cr-Ni steels. It is therefore the ideal raw material for the production of elements used in sectors such as the chemical and petrochemical industries, the medical, pharmaceutical and biotech industries and, consequently, the food industry," Billiouw states. "Our control valves can be found in breweries and meat processing plants, among others, but also in installations for dairy production, vegetable processing and production of candy and syrup ... to name but a few. Each of these segments requires its own approach. We may start from a basic product from our extensive stock, but often end up with a customer-specific end product in terms of finishing, sealing and connection. For example, customers require a particular valve connection, allowing the valves to be seamlessly connected to the existing pipe network. In turn, other applications require a quick disconnect or sanitary connection. All control valves are made to customer order. Anything is possible, if it is technically feasible of course. In addition to the quality of our products, a short delivery time is key. We aim to deliver every order within four to eight weeks. For certain projects, we can even have control valves fully ready at two to three weeks on specific customer demand."
