Recently at the Automatica fair in Munich, the newest cobot of the Yaskawa HC family was presented: the HC30PL with as much as 30 kg payload. This powerhouse also has a reach of 1,700 mm and has the unique advantage of being a hybrid cobot and thus can also be used as an industrial robot, reaching speeds of up to 2 m/s. The HC30PL is equipped with the YRC robot controller like all other cobots and robots in Yaskawa's range, which has more than 100 different models.
Thanks to the use of food-grade lubricants, drip-proof coating and the high IP67 (dust/liquid proof) degree of protection, the HC30PL can be used without problems in, for example, the food industry. Due to the internal media feed, the feed of compressed air and electricity to the robot gripper can be realized completely "cleanline" and fault-free. In cobot mode, the HC30PL can be used without an enclosure, also requiring a particularly small space in which to operate.
With the convenient Direct Teach buttons, the cobot can be programmed via hand control. Because of the very user-friendly Smart Pendant, which includes the Smart Pattern function for quickly generating palletizing programs, the Yaskawa cobot is ideally suited for users taking their first steps in the field of production automation.
The HC30PL is a versatile hybrid cobot that offers interesting possibilities for various applications, such as palletizing or loading and unloading machine tools.
