Everything in view - Leuze's new 36-series sensors detect objects even at long distances
Conventional retro-reflective photoelectric sensors often detect foil-wrapped pallets unreliably. The reason for this is the depolarizing property of the stretched film. Thanks to its special optics, the new retro-reflective photoelectric sensor of the Leuze 36 series can meet this challenge without any problems.

The accurate detection of objects requires reliable technology. Exactly with this in mind, Leuze has developed the new 36-sensor series. Thanks to their perfect detection performance, these sensors are suitable for use in intra logistics, packaging systems and the automotive industry. They detect objects with different optical properties - even at long distances, under vibration, ambient light or contamination. The advantage for system manufacturers and operators: The cost-optimized 36 Series is an economically attractive solution, especially in the case of highly automated systems with a large number of sensors.

In the food industry, identical products are usually bundled into larger packages. Thanks to their extremely high functional reserves, the retro-reflective photocells of the Leuze 36 series also reliably detect changing packaging units.

Flexible implementation

Leuze offers the (IP67) sensors with different operating principles: as Probes with background suppression up to 2.5 meters), as (up to 17 meters) or as separate Transmitter/Receiver systems (up to 80 meters). The high-quality sensor design offers an extremely high function reserve. This ensures that objects are reliably detected even when sources of interference are present, for example. Users can also apply reflector photocells when detecting objects with depolarizing properties, for example for foil-wrapped pallets. The 36-series sensors thus cover a huge range of applications.
