The patented DuoDrive from NORD DRIVESYSTEMS is a revolutionary integrated gearbox/motor concept in a hygienic and cleanable design that now covers powers up to 3 kW. The seamless integration of gearbox and motor in a drive system is a quantum leap and sets new standards in terms of user-friendliness and efficiency.
The fewer interfaces, the higher the system efficiency: NORD DuoDrive integrates a highly efficient IE5+ synchronous motor in a single-stage parallel shaft helical gear unit and, with a system efficiency of up to 92%, achieves one of the highest efficiencies in this power class on the market. A very high system efficiency is also achieved in the partial load range. The new gearmotor is thus future-proof and ensures cost reduction. The constant motor torque over a wide speed range ensures consistent version reduction and lowers operating costs. Together with easy plug-and-play commissioning, this results in a significant reduction in the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) compared to existing drive systems. DuoDrive is suitable for use in the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as intralogistics.
Besides high system efficiency, the smooth, non-ventilated and compact design and quiet operation with minimal noise emissions are also important features. In addition, the elimination of many wear parts results in less maintenance. The patented geared motor is now also available for powers up to 3 kW with a continuous torque of up to 250 Nm and speeds of up to 1000 min.-1 and includes gearbox speed ratios from i=3 to i=18. Market-compliant connection sizes simplify replacement and integration into existing plants.
Like all products in the NORD program, DuoDrive is compatible with NORD drive electronics and can be equipped with all common hollow shaft dimensions (20 to 40 mm) and flange versions (B5 and B14), as well as a reaction arm. Depending on customer requirements, Harting HAN connectors, M12 round plug connectors or a terminal strip can be included for the motor connection. Various other options such as encoder feedback or a holding brake are also possible with DuoDrive. Thanks to its design and operation with frequency converter, DuoDrive can be used universally worldwide with the same motor variant.
DuoDrive is easy to clean, corrosion resistant and rinseable. DuoDrive is also ideal for use in hygiene-sensitive and harsh environments and guarantees higher system availability and low cleaning costs due to less cleaning work. The particularly robust nsd tupH surface treatment is optionally available.
