Vacuum technology for automation and handling
Schmalz is a market leader in vacuum automation and ergonomic handling systems. What began in 1910 with a small workshop in the south of Germany has today developed into an internationally operating company with vacuum technology.
Vacuum technology is suitable for diverse industries and requirements; for the gentle handling of sensitive surfaces but also for applications in "rough" production environments.
We develop and produce vacuum components for all common applications, such as grippers, connecting elements, filters, vacuum generators and parts for system control. In addition to individual components, our portfolio also includes complete systems and robotic solutions. For use in automated production, picking and distribution logistics, we develop connection-ready gripper systems. These systems optimize the loading and unloading of machines, the (de)palletization and the picking and packaging of products.
For workpieces where clamping technology is required, there are the clamping systems. These are used in machining and assembly operations. Parts made of wood, glass, metal or plastic are clamped with vacuum for reliable and precise machining. Clamping with vacuum offers several advantages over other clamping methods: fast, precise, damage-free and deformation-free fastening, high holding force and five-sided machining. In addition, thin and elastic materials can also be clamped.
The Jumbo vacuum hose lifters of are designed for the ergonomic handling of loads up to 300 kilograms. They optimize material flows that require high handling frequency and speed.
With the VacuMaster lifting devices, very large and heavy workpieces of several tons can be transported. For example, loading machines with wooden or metal panels can be carried out by only one person in a process-safe and ergonomic manner.
In addition, we develop and produce individual crane systems - as a supplement or as a stand-alone solution.
