KNW Fitting competitions move to Aqua Netherlands

The Royal Dutch Water Network (KNW) has entered into a cooperation agreement with exhibition organizer Easyfairs to host the biennial Fittery Competitions during the Aqua Netherlands trade show at Evenementenhal Gorinchem.

The 16^e edition of the KNW Fitting Competitions will take place from March 18 to 20, 2025. In the arena, surrounded by space for meetings, teams from all ten Dutch water companies will compete to install a tap on a pressurized water pipe in the fastest time.

Teams with professional mechanics also compete for the world title at the World Championships, held alternately in the United States and the Netherlands. In addition, women's, student and executive teams compete for the fastest time within their category.

Besides the participating teams, the coaches, referees and members of the Fitterijwedstrijden committee from the water companies are indispensable to make this event a success. Together with the water companies and the sponsors, the organization expects to put on another inspiring event in which technique, networking and pride in craftsmanship are paramount.

Aqua Netherlands

Aqua Netherlands is the annual platform for the entire Dutch water sector. The focus is on drinking water, wastewater, process water and urban water & sewer management. Aqua Netherlands is therefore a good match with the ambitions of the Fitting Competitions Committee to show the Dutch craftsmanship "fitting" to a wide audience. With over 300 exhibitors and 6,500 visitors, the focus is on networking, chain cooperation and knowledge sharing. Facilitating the KNW Fittery Competitions will provide an additional visitor experience in 2025.
