LAPP invests in growth strategy

As the newly appointed Commercial Director and Country Manager, Sjoerd van Schaick will continue to increase market share and sales of LAPP's high-quality products and services.

To further increase market share in relation to strategic and structural challenges for the future, Sjoerd van Schaick has accepted responsibility as Commercial Director and Country Manager at LAPP Benelux as of February 1, 2024.

Sjoerd van Schaick studied Technical Business Administration at the Avans Hogeschool in Tilburg and an Executive MBA at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Over the past decade, Sjoerd has held sales and sales management roles in the field of connectivity. Some of Sjoerd's previous roles include Director of Sales - Global Accounts EMEA & APAC for Wesco and Channel & Business Development Manager EMEA for Belden.

"The market is constantly changing, so we need to secure our position in the market by investing in our customers. How can we better understand our customers' challenges to help them find the right solutions," said Sjoerd. "In addition to allowing our customers to order through our online channels, it is very important to support them with customized services so they can focus on their core business."

Sjoerd will lead the LAPP Benelux subsidiary. He and his team will work on a growth strategy that will enable LAPP to gain more market share in the Benelux. A core element will be increasing sales and expansion within existing and new customers.
