20 Years of Apex Dynamics: Quality as a digital foundation

Apex Dynamics BV celebrates its twentieth anniversary. This is not only a moment to look back on two decades of growth, but especially to look ahead to a new phase in which process optimization and digital integration are central. With the arrival of Stef van Oss, over three years ago, a course has been set in which the well-known service of the company is fully anchored in a future-proof system.

The step to professionalization

Stef van Oss took office in 2023 with a clear mission: to get the organization ready for the next 20 years. What attracted him was the dynamics of the small and decisive team. In the initial phase, however, he saw that many processes were still based on long-standing habits and manual actions. Although the results were fantastic, responsibility often rested with individuals and a lot of work was still done with paper, folders and handwritten notes.

The task was clear: the organization had to professionalize in order to maintain consistent quality, where Apex Dynamics is known for, for the future as well.

ISO 9001 as an engine for change

To achieve this, the ISO 9001 process was not seen as an administrative obligation, but as an opportunity to critically examine the entire business operation. The goal was an ‘internal revolution’ in which quality no longer depended on individual actions, but on a watertight system.

Important steps in this process were:

  • Full digitization: the move to a ‘paperless’ workflow, where the ERP system became the guide rather than a tool for paper records.
  • Securing knowledge: processes are now set up so that information is no longer fragmented. Multiple team members can now work simultaneously on the same process without loss of quality.
  • Optimal utilization: instead of purchasing new software, the focus was on making maximum use of the systems that were already in place.

For the customer, the familiar service and speed have remained unchanged, while internal error rates have been minimized.

The future: hardware and data

Now that the foundation is in place, Apex Dynamics is looking beyond. In a world where speed and integration are essential, the company's role is shifting. The product is no longer just the high-quality hardware from the factory in Taiwan, but also the associated data.

The ambition is to completely unburden customers not only physically, but also digitally. This includes:

  • Maximum findability: making documentation and specifications even more accessible.
  • Digital integration: the dream of an ‘Apex API,’ an end-to-end link that allows customers to load product data directly into their own engineering systems.
  • Innovative tools: further development of tools such as the Quickfinder, which allows selection from thousands of configurations at lightning speed.

Ready for the next step

After twenty years of building, Apex Dynamics is at a point where, backed by a solid digital foundation, it can immediately embrace any new innovation. The passion and spirit that built the company are still the fuel, but the shape has evolved into an organization that breathes quality at every level. Apex Dynamics is ready for the next 20 years.
